Mr. Cannon is a successful trial attorney with over 30 years of experience litigating matters before the state and federal courts in California at both the trial and appellate levels. Mr. Cannon has extensive trial and arbitration experience. Mr. Cannon has tried 29 civil jury trials, and has arbitrated over 75 binding arbitrations, including successfully trying and arbitrating high-exposure cases. He actively manages and participates in all aspects of his civil litigation practice. Mr. Cannon has focused his career on defending healthcare clients, including hospitals, medical institutions, acute care and rehabilitation facilities and individual medical providers. His defense practice includes a broad range of litigation including professional negligence, elder and dependent adult abuse, general liability, and employment matters.

Mr. Cannon joined La Follette Johnson in 1983 and became a Shareholder in 1988.

Mr. Cannon was inducted into the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in 2004. Membership in ABOTA is by invitation only to trial attorneys who have demonstrated excellent trial skills while maintaining the highest levels of professionalism, integrity, honor and courtesy.

Mr. Cannon earned his B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1979 and his J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1982.
