Mr. Williams joined La Follette Johnson in 2003 after practicing law for 24 years as an insurance defense attorney. Prior to joining La Follette Johnson, Mr. Williams engaged in the solo practice of insurance defense work from 1997 to 2003. Prior to that, he was senior trial counsel, product liability, for Wausau Insurance Company from 1992 to 1997. Prior to that, he was a Shareholder with the Law Offices of Breidenbach, Swainston, Crispo & Way of Los Angeles.

Mr. Williams has tried in excess of 60 cases in Superior Courts in California and in the United States District Courts in California, Colorado and Texas. Mr. Williams is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell and a member of ABOTA. He is a member of the State Bar of California, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Williams received his B.A. in History from California State University at Los Angeles in 1972. He received his J.D. from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1979.

Mr. Williams was born in Glendale, California. A certified scuba diver since the 1960s, Mr. Williams is also certified as a scuba instructor with the County of Los Angeles and is registered as a scientific diver with the American Academy of Underwater Scientists. Mr. Williams practices in the area of admiralty, maritime, and general liability law. Among his clients are scuba diving training organizations, boat operators, dive resorts and scuba diving instructors. Mr. Williams also represents the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Association.
