Jay C. Patterson

Mr. Patterson joined La Follette Johnson as an associate in 2019, where his practice focuses on medical malpractice defense. He received his B.A. in Philosophy from Santa Clara University in 2000, cum laude and with honors in classics and philosophy.

Mr. Patterson earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where he was awarded the Alan G. Martin prize for best team in Honors Moot Court, and competed in mock trial competitions across the United States. While in law school, Mr. Patterson was privileged to serve as a judicial extern to the Hon. Jeremy D. Fogel of the San Jose Division of the Federal Court for the Northern District of California. After completing law school, Mr. Patterson served as adjunct faculty assisting the Moot Court program.

Mr. Patterson was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He now resides in Rocklin, California, where he and his wife work to raise three children, two dogs, and three chickens.
