Arabelle Aportadera-Torres

Arabelle Aportadera-Torres joined the Los Angeles office of LaFollette Johnson in 2016 where her current practice is focused on the defense of medical malpractice claims on behalf of health care professionals and hospitals.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Aportadera-Torres was an associate at Morris Polich & Purdy from 2008 to 2015 where she practiced several areas of law including healthcare, product liability, and civil litigation. Prior to that, she was an associate at a plaintiff's firm where she was involved in all aspects of litigation. She also worked as a corporate attorney in Manila and before that, clerked at the Supreme Court of the Philippines.

Ms. Aportadera-Torres earned her LL.M. in International Legal Studies in 2004 from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. She obtained her J.D. in 2001 from Ateneo de Manila University, one of the top law schools in the Philippines, and was a member of the Law Journal in her junior and senior years.

Ms. Aportadera-Torres is admitted to practice before all courts for the State of California, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Central, Southern, and Northern Districts. She is also licensed to practice law in the Philippines.
